Meet The Doctor

Dr. Barrett is originally from Ardmore, AL. He graduated with honors from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in 2004, where he received the Dr. Aaron and Clara Todd Pre-Dental Scholarship. He is a 2008 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, and as a senior received the Horace Wells Senior Student Award from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology for outstanding achievement in dental anesthesiology and oral surgery.  After practicing general dentistry in Ardmore, TN for 12 years, he fulfilled a dream and returned to UAB, where he completed a residency in Endodontics in 2022. Dr. Barrett was trained at UAB by some of the leading experts in the most recent technological advances in non-surgical and surgical endodontics, including the use of GentleWave and X-Nav Guided Navigation. He also participated in two research projects, studying both guided surgery and aerosol production. His study on aerosol production and reduction during endodontic access was recently published in the official journal of the American Association of Endodontists, The Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Barrett is also board eligible with the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Barrett has always had a passion for endodontics and loves interacting with patients. He is very excited to start a new chapter of his career in Huntsville and is looking forward to working with the excellent dentists and staff in this area to continue to deliver exceptional dental care for the community. He has many friends, including many dental colleagues, and several family members in the area.

Dr. Barrett and his high-school sweetheart Stacey, who is from Harvest, AL, were married in 1999 and have 2 sons—Elijah and Noah (16 and 13). They reside on their farm in Ardmore, TN just a few miles from where he grew up. In his spare time, Dr. Barrett is active in church, and enjoys hunting, farming, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
